RedSeal Hires Public Sector Security Veteran Kimberly Baker

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — February 2013—RedSeal (www.redseal.co), the end-to-end provider of network visibility and intelligence to evaluate and strengthen network defenses, today announced that industry veteran Kimberly Baker has joined the company as Vice President and General Manager, Public Sector. Over the past 20 years, Kimberly has established an impressive track record building federal sales organizations. She brings market-leading credentials and extensive cyber security experience to her new role.

“Security is a critical component of all government operations, and that’s why RedSeal is proud to have departments including the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Postal Service and the Federal Aviation Administration among its customers,” said RedSeal chairman Ray Rothrock. “Moving forward, having Kimberly on our team gives us a competitive advantage as we expand our reach into the public sector—she brings unparalleled expertise and experience to this market, and we’re thrilled to have her here.”

Kimberly most recently served as Vice President, Government Markets, at early stage SaaS application security company Veracode, Inc. In that capacity she introduced Veracode to the federal market, recruited a federal team and established a robust channel program, built marketing activities that doubled the pipeline quarter-over-quarter, and established a federal advisory board.

Before that, Kimberly spent five years as Vice President, Federal Government Operations, at Internet Security Systems (which was acquired by IBM in 2006). Her mandate there was to grow the enterprise solution business in the federal civilian, Department of Defense and intelligence markets. In the process, she built and managed an organization that encompassed sales, business development, channels, systems engineering, marketing, contracts and professional services. Earlier, she served as Senior Vice President, Consulting, at Federal Sources, Inc. and Vice President and General Manager, Data Warehouse Solutions Group, at NCR Government Solutions.

“I’ve spent the past 15 years immersed in the discipline of enhancing cyber security at government agencies, and this position at RedSeal represents the perfect opportunity to bring game changing capabilities to the federal market,” Kimberly noted. “I’m very excited to join the team of innovators at RedSeal and do my part to expand the company’s presence in this vital sector.”
