REDSEAL TO PRESENT AT THE MONTGOMERY SUMMIT IN SANTA MONICA, CA

Chairman and CEO Ray Rothrock invited to present RedSeal to top executives and senior-level investors on topic of cyber defense

From The Montgomery Summit, Santa Monica, CA…
SUNNYVALE, Calif. — March 9, 2015 — RedSeal (redseal.co), the network security certification company, today announced that Chairman and CEO Ray Rothrock will present at The Montgomery Summit 2015 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, CA on March 11, 2015. Mr. Rothrock will address how organizations can more effectively defend against cyberattacks.

“Given the crucial role of the information technology (IT) network in virtually all business operations, cybersecurity has become a vital issue,” Mr. Rothrock stressed. “Every day, we see how government and corporate customers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, are challenged with network complexity. It goes beyond their ability to see what can happen, or even what is already happening. They need intelligence that lets them know how to prevent and react to the many threats, and to keep them in compliance with regulatory requirements. The best defensive strategy includes knowing every possible attack path to the most valuable network assets, so an enterprise can certify that its network is secure. That’s the approach RedSeal consistently advocates and the reason I’m presenting at this week’s Montgomery Summit.”

Building on the 10-year legacy of The Montgomery Conference, this year’s event, presented by Macquarie Capital, gathers leading executives from growth companies, entrepreneurs, global investment professionals and corporate development executives, to discover the most important innovations in business and technology. RedSeal provides a cybersecurity analytics platform that—unlike any other solution on the market—certifies that your network is secure.

Meanwhile, Hom Bahmanyar, who currently serves as Sr. Director of Engineering, is taking on broadened responsibilities as the new VP, Engineering.

“Our company is now squarely focused on growth and innovation. Over the past year we’ve greatly enhanced our core product and expanded its capabilities while increasing overall quality,” said Ray Rothrock, chairman and CEO at RedSeal. “Sundar and Hom each have a tremendous track record in leading the development of innovative enterprise software, and that’s why they’re both vital to our future. We’re very excited to have them on the team.”

Sundar was a founding member of Network TeleSystems, a pioneer in network protocol stack, applications, IP address management and VPN systems. During his tenure he built several networking products for enterprise and for large carriers deploying broadband (xDSL) technologies, He has several patents in networking area and his expertise includes IP protocols, security, VPN, mobile apps and SaaS implementation.

“At every position I’ve held, and in every kind of company, I’ve understood the critical importance of network security—it’s a strategic concern that should run throughout the enterprise from the boardroom on down, and too often that doesn’t happen,” Mr. Raj noted. “I’m excited to join a company where that is the essential mandate, and I look forward to helping RedSeal develop technologies and specific capabilities that can offer the level of security this threat environment demands.”

Similarly, Hom Bahmanyar has established a strong record as a results-driven engineering leader with proven skills in engineering execution, building highperformance engineering teams, and retaining a strong customer focus. He also brings a blue-chip background to his new position: Before joining RedSeal, he spent a decade at Cisco, most recently as director of engineering. Earlier in his career he was manager of software development at Savvion and senior software engineer at Novell Inc. In his new role, he will be primarily responsible for ensuring integration with products from other enterprise security and network vendors.

“No technology functions in a vacuum—this is a completely multi-platform, multi-vendor environment — and every aspect of security needs to recognize that reality,” Mr. Bahmanyar noted. “I’ve always been drawn to companies that thrive in challenging environments by building on both existing and emerging capabilities, and RedSeal has exactly that philosophy. I’m thrilled to be part of this team of innovators, and look forward to doing my part to harden network infrastructures around the world.”

REDSEAL UNIFIES PHYSICAL AND CLOUD SECURITY

Unified security architecture is capable of being mapped, tested and measured; enables more proactive threat prevention and auditable regulatory compliance

[From AWS re:Invent 2014 — Venetian, Las Vegas, NV]

SUNNYVALE, CA –November 12, 2014 — RedSeal, Inc. (redseal.co), the end-to-end provider of network visibility and intelligence to evaluate and strengthen network defenses, today announced the integration of RedSeal with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with support for AWS Config, a fully managed service that provides customers with an inventory of their AWS resources, lets them audit resource configuration history, and notifies them of resource configuration changes. With this, physical and cloud security architectures become unified, capable of being mapped, tested and measured.

“Amazon VPC provides our customers with great flexibility for computing and deploying network infrastructure, and customers want to know who has access to their data,” said Ray Rothrock, chairman and CEO of RedSeal. “The integration of RedSeal and AWS VPC with support for AWS Config gives RedSeal customers even more visibility and control over their cloud infrastructure.”

RedSeal’s initial work with AWS allowed customers to analyze the network topology, access control, and general configuration of their networks in Amazon VPC. With this, customers can optimize AWS’s security groups and access controls, as well as assess the security of their systems deployed in the AWS Cloud.

AWS Config, released today, enables customers to track and store the history of Amazon VPC configurations and configuration changes in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). With AWS Config, RedSeal customers get even more information about their AWS resources. Customers can:

Analyze their resources in near real time. AWS Config can proactively notify RedSeal about changes to the Amazon VPC deployment and automatically initiate data import and analysis of a changed setup. This allows customers to analyze their AWS resources in near real time as changes are made to their Amazon VPC.

Validate policy compliance instantly. The integration [KC3]between RedSeal and AWS Config enables customers to define access policies and guidelines and validate any Amazon VPC changes against them– to ensure secure access and limit exposure.

Verify conformance with industry best practices. AWS Config allows RedSeal to run its best practice checks on configurations and configuration changes, so customers can quickly verify if changes conform to recommended best practices.

Validate their full Amazon VPC configuration. The combination of AWS Config and RedSeal helps customers verify and validate all configuration aspects of their Amazon VPC setup and its changes over time.
